Spark Imagination With Picture Stories

Writing is hard when you can't think of anything to write about. So help your child learn to think creatively. 

Here’s a fun way to inspire his imagination and engage him with writing. 

Have him look through magazines and newspapers for interesting pictures. Let him cut out four or five images. 

Next, ask him to put them together to tell a story.

Have your child tell the story to you. Then have him write the story down. For variety, try scrambling the pictures and asking him to tell a different story.                                                Parents for Charter Schools
